France has reserved a total of 2.436 tons of gold but there is no goldmine in France. In Mali, there are about 860 gold mines and was under France’s occupation. Currently, Mali does not have a tangible gold reserve in its banks despite producing 50 tons of gold per year.

As at today, the current military regime in Niger has banned the export of Gold to the United States of America (USA).
In another development, Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Burkina Faso has BANNED Uranium exports to France and the United States.
I think it is a good thing that Africa is taking their future into their hands. Though the means may be wrong let the end justify it.
