One major reason Emefile was arrested by DSS under Tinubu is traceable to the Naira redesign which was intended to scuttle the chances of moneybags to influence 2023 presidential election with cash. If before the election and swearing in of Tinubu, the DSS made efforts to arrest Emefile, but he was shilded by Buhari. DSS even went to court to seek order to arrest him. Emefile at one time had to escape abroad. But could the CBN governor, Emefile had planned and executed the Naira redesign with Buhari?
